Web Design Journey Post 1

My portfolio lacks evidence of my ability to design websites, partly because I no longer have access to many of those files. However, a few of the site files I do have were not responsive and are no longer valid. I’m working toward learning responsive HTML, CSS, and potentially JavaScript.

Given the design of this WordPress template, it is challenging to showcase this type of work in the portfolio section. Therefore, my training results will be posted in the blog section of my website. This will include Skillshare work as well as recreations of previous work in a format more relevant in 2025.

Below, you will find my first entry from a Skillshare class called “Responsive Web Development: HTML & CSS for Web Designers” by Christopher Dodd.

Note: this course did not cover how to make the web form work, so I watched this tutorial to complete the task: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HeadgoqJ7A
